Quick Update

The babe is already 2 months and 11lbs! Now that we've gotten into more of a routine and have learned her little personality, life is so much better than surviving THE COLIC (dundundun). She's just plain enjoyable. A happy little girl. She's sooooo much easier than my first babe (and I thought he was easy).

She's slept through from the get-go. But now she only nurses once or twice. I'm getting sleep like I haven't had for nearly 2 years! What a nice baby, right?!? :) She even wakes up before she has to pee and only poos once a week. I was concerned about the poo issue, but have since learned that some breastfed babes don't go for a week or so. My mom said my little brother was the same and that my aunt (a GP) said once he got to 10 days, to call his pediatrician. She's gone 8 days at the most without going, but when she does, it's all at once. Again, how nice?!?!

Because of the pee and poo rhythm, we've been easily integrating Elimination Communication. Something I'd never heard of before reading Beyond the Sling. But since she's at home and I've become keen to her rhythms, I can take off her diaper and let her pee in the toilet. So weird, I know. But so much easier than changing a diaper, especially with the gobs of poo all at once on the one day. This will definitely make potty training easier, if we even have to approach the issue at all.

Alright #1 is awake. Back to mommyland!

Very interesting stuff -- "potty training". It's really "pelvic floor - neuro training"... Continence and walking (running even) go together and are all about the complete maturation of the "inner core" including the pelvic floor (all three layers)

No core without the floor hehe...

That's a great system.. When I worked at the zoo I did that with the baby animals...I could KICK myself for not trying it with Kiel... Makes a lot of sense and much less mess!
